Class 756s are now in service! The class 150s are on borrowed time now; it's just the 398s to enter service now... I'll hopefully be visiting the Welsh capital in the next month to ride the new 756s! I assume they are just as smart as their diesel counterparts.

Just had a thought, I wonder how much pre-privatisation BR branding/signage will outlive privatisation! I reckon there's quite a lot. Swallow branding on the WCML signage, NSE branding at Marylebone and BR signage across the network... I'm sure there's many more examples too

Another example of terrible TOC mismanagement - blaming unions and COVID on driver shortages is poor. This is a company who wants to extend the Newcastle-Reading services to hourly next year; I highly doubt that is going to happen. We need the government to step in - fast.
Between 10 Aug & 9 Nov @CrossCountryUK will be reducing its service because of a backlog of driver training. Trains on the Newcastle-Reading via DON service route will be cut along with the limited service north of Edinburgh. Released units will be used to strengthen other trains
