Spotted another Whooper swan that’d been a casualty of the power lines on the edge of Somersham. Fantastic swift response and rescue by the Waterfowl Sanctuary from Godmanchester. Swan even let out a subdued call when hearing several Whoopers passing nearby 🥺 @CambsBirdClub

Juvenile Osprey finishing off its meal earlier on today at Milton Country Park, and leaving no leftovers! Amazingly it has now been over 5 weeks since it was first seen at the park @CambsBirdClub

If you see an Iduna/Hippolais and not sure which one. The tail action can be a good feature. This is Eastern Olivaceous Warbler from @FlamboroughBird a couple of days ago.

What an amazing eastern gem!! Pale-legged Leaf Warbler - not a bird I ever expected to see 10 minutes from home. Huge kudos to @andyhood75 for finding and @ScratchTrev for pinning down the ID, not to mention the twitch management from all the amazing staff @Bempton_Cliffs

35 years ago, the last episode of #Blackadder Goes Forth was screened. 3 hours of unmatched hours of comedy to many of us. But there was a deeper message throughout encapsulated in this moving final scene. #lestweforget Vid: BlackadderQtes

My all-time favourite 🤣 and not the one I dipped with @Teamscotch 🫤

Nice to find a Quail so close to home this morning. Conveniently right next to footpath rather than several hundreds yards out in the field! Had all but given up hope of seeing it (as usual) so packed optics away, picked up bike……then caught a glimpse of it! @CambsBirdClub

Here we go again…..Watching England! 🫣 #EURO2024  #ENGSUI

Just twigged it was 30 years ago today I went to the pub on holiday on Kerry to watch Ireland-Holland and ended up on an all day bender with some fella who claimed he was a comedian.

"Well, Mrs. Miggins, at last we can return to sanity. The hustings are over, the bunting is down, the mad hysteria is at an end. After the chaos of a general election, we can return to normal." "Oh, has there been a general election, then, Mr. Blackadder?" #Blackadder

Several House sparrow nests on the house, great they’re so well established after a number of years without any about. Newly fledged one (from swift box) even checked out the fireplace and lounge this morning having squeezed through chimney guard! Right up your street @rgreasby
