Totally breathtaking!! 54 Cranes on the Ouse Washes nr Pymoor, Cambs this morning. I was mesmerised!! 😀😀😀 So stunning in flight as well. What a bird! @CambsBirdClub

Great Northern Diver still at Brampton Pit East. One for the year list. I spent a bit of time studying it, in hopes of improving my Diver ID skills! @CambsBirdClub

Well today turned out better than expected! A #lifer, right on the doorstep and it's a duck off my bingo card!! 🤩 Lesser Scaup at Barleycroft Lake, Ouse Fen. Thank you Richard Grimmitt 😄 @CambsBirdClub

May not look much but Brent Goose is a find tick for me! They're not so easy to come by in Cambs so was really happy to spot this pair at Earith GPs this afternoon 😃 @CambsBirdClub

Long-billed Dowitcher! Tried and failed to connect with this bird the last 3x I've been in Cley. 4th time's a charm! 🥳 Mainly furiously feeding, but did get some good views (including even its head and bill at times! 😂) #lifer

Lunchbreak look for Richard Grimmitt's Yellow-browed Warbler - no luck (I'll have to find my own!) but Richard put me onto some Brambling, which gave lovely close views. My first of the year 😊 @CambsBirdClub

Welcome back! The unmistakable sound of Whoopers caught my attention and I turned to see a group of 19 gliding onto the Washes at Sutton Gault 😊 My first of the winter @CambsBirdClub

Back in Penzance! Rather rough crossing but Sooty Shearwater lifer and great views of Manxies. I didn't attempt pics with that swell! Thank you @dunnjons for your company this week and @dickfilby and Denise for your kindness and hospitality 😊 It's been a lovely holiday #scilly

Ortolan Bunting!!!! 3rd time very lucky to get this much wanted lifer on St Mary's late afternoon. What a brilliant way to round off the last full day on #scilly 😊🥳 @RareBirdAlertUK

My second Tawny Pipit of the year but my first ever in the UK! Probably tested @dunnjon's patience with my nonchalant approach to twitching this bird 😂 (sorry Jon!) but very glad we got it - knockout views of a lovely bird #scilly

Super first afternoon in St Mary's, Scilly with @dunnjons Juv Red-backed Shrike the highlight, being mobbed by a crowd of passerines! Plus a lovely YBW, Short-toed Lark and gins with a view 😁 #Scilly

well that was a short season on the Ouse Washes - the climate change scenario of increased storminess was right!!! @CambsBirdClub

Quick lunchbreak leg stretch round Sutton and delighted to see a Wall Brown! Seen a few on the Washes this year but lovely to get a sighting in the village 🙂 (submitted on iRecord) @ehbpollard @bc_cambs_essex @savebutterflies

Another twitch - it's turning into a dirty weekend! Pair of Glossy Ibis still near Dog-in-a-Doublet sluice, Nene Washes. Much more scarce in Cambs this year @CambsBirdClub

Got in on the Osprey action at Milton CP this afternoon. What a bird! Amazing to see it perched and hunting at close range. It's been present in this area a few days now @CambsBirdClub

Baird's Sandpiper in the bag! Not a lifer that had been on my radar but more than happy to collect it @RSPBFrampton today! 😀

Bloody Scoter. I wasn't quick enough locating it before it chucked it down again 😂☔ I stubbornly kept looking despite the rain and actually got great views in the end. Ferry Lagoon, originally found by @SimonFreedman4 @CambsBirdClub

Found a Spot Fly! 😀 Shouldn't be notable really but it's the first local one I've ever bumped into by myself. At Berry Fen, where the trio of Wood Sand continue with 5 Green Sand 3/4 Greenshank, 16+ Snipe and a billion biting insects! @CambsBirdClub
