6/ The Aave cross-chain governance bridge is built in a generic way to be easily adapted to operate with any chain that supports the evm and cross-chain messaging.
5/ Aave Cross-Chain Governance Bridge The Aave cross-chain governance bridge contract receives this data, decodes it, and queues the action(s) to be executed from the cross-chain transaction. After a timelock, the actions can be executed to update the Aave Polygon Market.
4/ Polygon FxPortal When the cross-chain proposal is executed, a special `StateSynced` event is emitted that contains the data to be sent from Ethereum to Polygon. Upon witnessing a `StateSynced` event, Polygon validators relay this data as a transaction on the Polygon network.
3/ Aave Ethereum Based Governance The Aave governance flow is the same as always. In this flow, an executed proposal triggers a cross-chain transaction. The actions to be executed on Polygon are encoded into a data blob and are handed off to the Polygon FxPortal.
2/ This cross-chain transaction flowed through the following steps: 1. Aave Ethereum based governance 2. Polygon’s FxPortal 3. Aave cross-chain governance bridge on Polygon
