Some of us still care 🦠 😷 😢

Gee, things are looking up. Only 95 new COVID outbreaks, 1,330 staff & residents infected & 13 resident COVID deaths in the last 7 days. But no one cares of course. @age_no_barrier @AnikaWells @Mark_Butler_MP @anmf_federal @amapresident @ACCPAAustralia @CroakeyNews

SARS-CoV-2 infection can cause significant bone loss, leading to decreased bone mass and increased fracture risk. The virus triggers the immune system to produce cytokines, leading to hyperinflammation that affects bone and joint health. health.ucdavis.edu/news/headlines…

🦴Brittle bones, lower bone density—➡️ more bone fractures 🩻. All compliments of COVID infection. The more we learn, the more stupid and nonsensical that “COVID is mild” sounds.

SARS-CoV-2 can directly infect bone marrow cells and indirectly affect bone health. The infection can lead to hypocalcemia, altered bone turnover markers, decreased bone mineral density, and a high prevalence of vertebral fractures. link.springer.com/article/10.100…

I would love to hear from @RACGPPresident @RACGP @TheRACP @ama_media about their plans for educational materials and advocacy on #LongCovid and #VaccineInjuries

To be blunt: There's no formal Long C-19 Education from any of the major colleges. I've not seen anything in the Medical Curriculum to study that students are being educated in the pathophysiology of acute infection or sequelae🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

COVID is airborne, and each infection carries cumulative risks. Long COVID has no cure, and the pandemic isn’t over. Wearing a mask is still one of the simplest ways to protect yourself and others. Stay informed and stay safe. #COVIDAwareness #LongCOVID #MaskUp #Masking #COVID

Other state governments in Australia need to follow Queensland lead on scrapping payroll tax for GP, or face many practice closures or gap payment increases

The @RACGP has welcomed news from the new Queensland Government that it is following through on its election commitment to permanently scrap its payroll tax on GPs. bit.ly/3YG7TxX

@RACGP has strong concerns about these proposed reforms. If they go ahead unchanged, we’ll see higher gap fees and delays to care. GP care keeps people healthy/out of hospital - we need to improve access, not make it harder. afr.com/companies/heal…
