“I simply didn’t want the book to end given the sheer delight of the story-telling. Pheasants Nest is a stunning debut.” I grew up reading book reviews in @theage, so seeing this amazing first newspaper review of my novel tonight makes me weep with joy.❤️ theage.com.au/culture/books/…

Journos/politics types still persevering here, I’ve gone to Blue Sky & it’s pretty nice compared to this binfire I must say. Huge numbers migrating over 48 hours. Would love to see more of you there. Remember when we used Twitter as a wire service? Would be great to do it there.

I have just set up a Blue Sky account for what it is worth. If you are on there, follow so I can find others there. I know some pretty great Americans are on there but not sure about Australians.

I’ve been thinking it for a while but now think it is probably time to move on from here. I have a Threads account but it doesn’t seem to have had the momentum that was promised. Are other Australians feeling same way?

Thank you @Milliganreports for shining a light on this pressing issue! We must prioritize kids' safety over Big Tech's profit model that's taking a toll on kids' mental well-being. #PassKOSA 📹 PSOS member Lori Schott tells @ABCaustralia her family's story. 🔽

Disconnected is my last #4Corners for 2024 & our final episode. An international investigation into social media harms, hearing from insiders who want you to know what's really going on. You'll be challenged, moved, troubled, heartbroken. Tune in Monday.

Louise, kudos drawing attention to a social evil in a way that should concern every parent and grandparent. Brought it home to me @4corners

My days at Merino, Colorado, with Lori Schott, remembering her daughter Anna, who died of suicide at the age of 18, are some of the saddest I’ve had in journalism. Lori is a warrior. “Make the world a better place, Mark Zuckerberg… We need to say enough is enough.” #4Corners

Unbelievably, @instagram won’t allow me to pin this educative video to my profile. It’s my work for @abcnews #4Corners as an investigative journalist, interviewing Lori Schott who alleges social media harms led her daughter to suicide. Share far & wide. instagram.com/p/DB8mib6O3WL/…

Seen it first hand with all three of my kids who grew up in the eye of the storm. We are still paying the price. Great work @Milliganreports

Powerful reporting on @4corners yet again from @Milliganreports about the insidious influence of all share/no care social media. Sad and tragic all in one.

Incredibly sad. Lori and Anna’s friend were so brave in sharing about Anna through their heartache. They will make a difference. Thank you, Louise and the #4corners team. Not easy to do this amount of research and also to sensitively interview people who have suffered so much.

It’s heartbreaking, Louise. We all had our teenage struggles, but nothing like this! 😱

An incredibly powerful heartbreaking episode. Thank-you so much

Great reporting @Milliganreports Anna’s mum’s comment about the need for Zuckerberg & others to do better, make the world a better place, resonates. My son is 20. He has already lost many close friends to suicide. Given the power to help stop this how could you do otherwise?
