Before we even the enter the water, the team at the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory works hard to make sure our EMU suits, tools, and equipment above and below the surface of the water are good to go. Appreciate their efforts to keep us proficient and safe!

Completed our initial training in the Japanese Experiment Module - Kibo in Tsukuba, Japan. The walk to and from work was very beautiful, especially with the cherry blossoms in bloom!

After completion of the Robotics Specialist skills training, we keep our skills current via Track and Capture refreshers. This particular refresher was in the Systems Engineering Simulator in a mockup of the space station’s Cupola. These lessons emphasize the importance of crew…

Wrapped up an awesome week and a half of #helicopter flying with the Colorado Army National Guard team in Gypsum, Colorado at their High-Altitude ARNG Aviation Training Site (HAATS). We saw how crew coordination fits into power management, actively interpreted what the aircraft…

Come sail the stars with our @NASA_Astronauts! Applications to #BeAnAstronaut close April 2. go.nasa.gov/astro2024

Thank you @NASA and @astro_deniz for being the literal definition of ‘astronaut.’ Fun fact: The first known use of ‘astronaut’ was in 1928!

Training at the High-Altitude ARNG Aviation Training Site (HAATS) in Gypsum, Colorado with the awesome professionals of the Colorado Army National Guard Team. Beautiful area! Reminds me of my past experiences flying helicopters in Alaska. Definitely a treasured experience. I’m…

There was a collaborative effort guiding us on our journey of becoming NASA astronauts. After two years of training, we graduated on March 5th! Now NASA is looking for a new class of astronauts. If you have ever wanted to #beanastronaut, your first step is to apply!…

Appreciate the lesson today in the virtual reality simulator performing and evaluating various mass handling activities that could take place on a spacewalk!

Just completed the generic profile centrifuge training at Wright-Patterson AFB. It was a +Gx familiarization profile with a max of around 4.6. Great instructors and training!

Today was my first time flying the T-38 out to Roswell, NM and experiencing the HI-ILS Y approach for runway 21 firsthand! Flying in the T-38 is always a great opportunity to improve crew resource management skills, especially when the approach is more challenging! 😁

Today was my first time in the EMU suit! I’ve been working with an awesome group of suit technicians and engineers to optimize the suit fit before our upcoming EVA lessons in the NBL. The fit check is an opportunity to evaluate reach limitations and note any pressure points
