You can do more than one job even as Prime Minister apparently 🤷‍♂️

I can't figure out if vaccines work or not. Tough one. I can see why RFK Jr is so concerned. Need Sherlock Holmes on this one.

This is why Trump won: He included working class and poor people in his mission to make America great. He made vulnerable people feel empowered. The democrats treat vulnerable populations as helpless infants in need of protection, instilling a victim mindset in them. I hope this…

Can we drop this obsession with “setting the agenda” as the purpose of news??? Let’s focus on timely, researched & accurate presentation. ⁦@abcnews

Australia is tipped to record the second-highest #inflation rate out of 42 countries next year! What a sharp contrast to other advanced economies. Reports AFR #ausbiz #Auspol2024

My quest to find a nation that outbuilds Australia in terms of new homes continues. But I have found one that comes close in per capita terms and wins handily when adjusted for construction workforce size, Japan. The nation of a dwindling population out does us per worker.

I know this is a stupid question but… when does growth stop? I mean, this is a finite planet and everything. Do you really believe that economic growth can continue forever? If not, when do we stop it? Why not now, before we do even more damage to the biosphere & climate?

Investment is fundamental to growing our economy. Working with global partners, we can unlock further opportunities that Great British Energy and the National Wealth Fund will create in green infrastructure such as ports, hydrogen, and steel projects.

Too many millennials having a massive whine about not being able to buy a property. They should have bought in the 1980’s just like their parents did.

I'm currently going through historical Aussie housing stats going back 30 years for an upcoming Burnouteconomics.com article. Outright home ownership: 1994-95 vs 2019-20 By household age: 35-44: 26.5% vs 5.4% 45-54: 48.3% vs 15.2% 55-64: 69.5% vs 36.1% Its no wonder…

I should perhaps have added that everyone involved in this decision lives in a house.

Last night's @abcnews piece on housing, in which I point out that policymakers have decided the solution to the crisis is to build apartments, lots of them. This is a big change for Australia. iview.abc.net.au/video/KOHL2022…

Air in chip packets. Air. In. Chip. Packets. Lucky we don't have any serious national issues to address so we can spend time and energy on... air. I'm... truly lost for words. #auspol

Ever found more air than chips in your chip packet? More air, less product, same price. It's called shrinkflation, and it's ripping Australians off. We’re fixing it, making sure you get good value at the checkout with stronger unit pricing and big penalties for supermarkets…

IT'S COVID INFECTIONS. We've literally known this for FOUR STRAIGHT YEARS NOW. Why is anyone ignorant about this?

Nobody can convince me that heart attacks & strokes before age 50 are normal. I've been around for a long time. This is not normal. Most of my doctor colleagues agree in private that something is very, very wrong, but they won't comment publicly.

It is a cruel irony that on the day the @AlboMP government announces a $15.8b surplus, the deeply flawed COVID-19 Vaccine Claims Scheme is wound up, having approved only a tiny fraction of the claims made by injured people. @Mark_Butler_MP @CoVerseAU

NBA Twitter never, ever universally agrees on anything. Yet everyone on NBA Twitter agrees that Zack Lowe is the best in the business. Tells you everything you need to know.

What an absolute fucking joke. And what a sad commentary on the state of the industry. Zach is, quite literally, the best in business at providing rational, cogent analysis of the league we love. Guess that means he has no place at the “worldwide leader.” ESPN peddles,…

We have not had a US president shot at since Ronald Regan 40 years ago. And it’s happened twice in the last 2 months. Is anyone else thinking: hey, maybe we have taken this divisive politics and hateful rhetoric thing a little too far?

if you can’t tell the difference between the players having fun with themselves and their own fans and a coach mouthing off at an opposition player who’s trying to chair off their 300 gamer you’ve got screws loose

Hawthorn fans the irony of you lot crying considering the shit your team have been dishing out all season.

Instead of solely getting pissed off with the RBA, folks should direct their frustration at the govt. Its also their actions that have minimized the inflation fighting impact of the largest sacrifice in living standards in 40+ years. Most of the downside, none of the benefits.
