A lot of Democrats want Ben Wikler to run the DNC next. It helps his case that Trump's win margin was narrower in Wisconsin than in any other battleground state. My story about why Dems love Wikler so much: theatlantic.com/politics/archi…
There is no ambiguity after this election, @MarkLeibovich writes. “Last week’s drubbing was not conducive to small-bore second-guessing; no use dwelling in the margins when the margins are in fact so conclusive.” theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/…

Great news for readers of @TheAtlantic: The estimable @jonathanchait is joining our team as a staff writer: theatlantic.com/press-releases…
“I never learned to hit the curveball and eventually became one of those writers who uses too many sports analogies...But I did take a tidy lesson from that experience: When life offers clarity, take the gift. Democrats should take the gift.” theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/…

“Pace yourself and be realistic. Breathe, meditate, pray, seek simple pleasures, and be kind. It’s okay to be scared about whatever might unfold. Appropriate, even,” @MarkLeibovich writes. What campaign gurus told him about handling Election Day stress: theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/…

What does this Mahomes injury fit into the Election Keys
Re: my comments on CNN and MSNBC this evening... yes, there are Trump staffers who no longer much care whether he wins or loses. Not exactly breaking news. Hard to overstate how terrible morale is inside of this campaign—and how much anger/resentment is felt toward the candidate.
In 2015, Donald Trump said that Republican politicians would be easy to break, @MarkLeibovich writes. He was right. theatlantic.com/magazine/archi…
This election will test Americans’ “appetite for chaos, particularly the kind that Donald Trump has been exhibiting,” @HannaRosin writes. She speaks with @TimAlberta and @MarkLeibovich about Trump’s loss of discipline since the summer: theatlantic.com/podcasts/archi…
"We should try to be sensible consumers of the treacherous and triggering torrent of information we will soon be drowning in. Note the metaphor here, as it segues into important guidance: Be careful where you swim. Avoid needless waves and currents." theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/…
