The next Secretary of Defense will need to act with a sense of urgency to cut waste, rebuild the Navy, and maximize the production of critical munitions.

A well-deserved promotion.

In Afghanistan, President Trump can leverage diplomacy, partnership w/ Europe, & the Taliban's own unique ethos to advance U.S. interests—or he can repeat past mistakes. My latest w/ @jensvmathiesen & Galina Mikkelsen of the Royal Danish Defence College. foreignpolicy.com/2024/11/14/dip…

What kills me is this: Enviros say they oppose Manchin-Barrasso b/c it would streamline dirty as well as green energy, yet there are two big Democratic states--CA & NY--where they could run a dream "good stuff only" permitting bill. What have they offered? Crickets. 1/3

Jen Psaki was pitching a show to the networks while holding daily press briefings, controlling access to the president. She hired an agent while she was press secretary!

Some at CNN wonder if Scott Jennings should still be appearing on CNN (he’s currently on the network rebutting criticisms of RFK) while reportedly in contention for the White House press secretary job

8 of the 43 monkeys remain free after breaking out from a South Carolina research facility more than a week ago. Workers are luring the monkeys back with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and "other treats." They say the free monkeys are close and they can hear them "cooing."

Congratulations to my friend, former colleague, and fellow veteran @RepDougCollins on getting picked for VA Secretary! I know he’ll be an incredible advocate for those who’ve served, and bring much-needed reform to the VA!

I once did a panel on "supply side liberalism" and afterward talked to the climate program officer of a major liberal foundation. She lamented how hard it was to fund good supply stuff because of pushback from EJ groups. I was like "But aren't you the one writing the checks??"
