You have amplified appeals to emotion, not to reason. You have restricted replies to your posts other than this one. You are promoting hugely consequential legislation with inadequate preparation and inadequate opportunity for Parliamentary scrutiny. This Bill should not pass

Here's my quick thread on the most salient provisions of the Leadbeater assisted suicide bill. I'm sorry if I've missed anything, but if she hadn't dropped a 12,000 word bill on everyone on a Monday night so close to the debate we may have had more time to scrutinise it.

Less than 3 weeks before it's due to be debated, Kim Leadbeater MP has finally published the text of her assisted suicide bill. It's 38 pages long, has 43 clauses and 6 schedules. MPs will have a maximum of five hours to debate it. bills.parliament.uk/bills/3774/pub…

Evolutionary psychiatrists here 👋🏻. Valuing life is not a religious privilege. The bill is full of unintended consequences and potential harm

Today at the Central Family Court (where there are no lecterns on the advocates benches), security refused entry for my personal lectern because it’s “too heavy” and “against the rules”. I’m intrigued to know what the particular rule says and why I’ve never had the prob before.

I was just reading about Johnie Walker, the disc jockey, recording his final BBC show & it brought back wonderful memories to me of his regular 11pm slot on Radio Caroline playing Percy Sledge. Do others remember?

Does this mean that people who I have blocked will now be able to see my messages, unless I change to a “private” account?

And where will the necessary judicial time for such additional work come from?

Why is there no division symbol on iPhone keyboards?

I’m just thinking back about how much I enjoyed hop picking when I was a youngster.

Watching “Last Night of the Proms” yesterday reminded me that I still remember the words of scores of traditional songs, thanks to the radio programme “Singing Together”, when I was at primary school in the late 1950s & early 1960s.

Words cannot express how impressed I am with @m_p_d_official and how proud I am to know him. After the battles he has had to face, he stays positive and focused and goes to his first #Paralympics and wins a SILVER MEDAL. True role model
