Proud to have been part of today’s launch of the 1st cholera vaccination campaign in Bakassi IDP camp. To prevent other disease outbreaks, children are also vaccinated for measles & provided with Vitamin A supplementation.

Day 5 after dam break which flooded 40% of Maiduguri, Nigeria: Government is distributing UNICEF’s 2000 cholera kits in Bakassi Camp hosting ~ 20,000 IDPs. This is thanks to contingency stocks procured in early 2024 to be ready to support government in sudden-onset emergencies.
