This ruling means communities across the UK, particularly those on the coast and disabled people, will continue to be at severe risk as the climate crisis escalates. The government must draw up and implement a tougher climate adaptation programme ✊bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

The High Court has ruled the government’s climate adaptation plan is lawful. Friends of the Earth, with our co-claimant's, challenged that plan, which will not protect us from the extreme impacts of the climate crisis, particularly coastal communities and disabled people.

I ws really taken by surprise at the ridge that's emerged now ~ way back when the bank was really high, all the way through to Salthouse, but it's been left to its own devices for years & years. The colossal sea power that's constructed this natural bank is mind-boggling.

At some point in the last couple of weeks a startling change in Cley's shingle landscape occurred. A vast miles long 8ft high shingle shelf has formed, it's form & height something I've not seen for over two decades (when the 3 old rusted yellow JCBs used to shore up the bank).

With neap tides this week, there are currently no concerns for the tidal Thames. Possibly one of the most dramatic surge forecasts I've seen though, with a positive surge following #StormIsha, another one brewing for Wednesday night and a third possible for next weekend.

After the Storm Surges on 14th and 15th January 2024, is it useful to assert that a Surge posses the capability to cause severe damage and disruption to coastlines and tidal estuaries? alteredcoast.blog

More of Hemsby’s coastline has been washed into the sea after a high tide on Sunday evening. Around 5 yards has been lost near the lifeboat’s car-park, meaning the station may soon have to be moved Local residents are again calling for emergency support 🌊
