Demand for Artificial Grass dropped 66% in 2 years since 2021. Your voices are starting to be heard and understood. Keep shouting! mybuilder.com/blog/artificia… #ShitLawns

Or just don't use it in the first place, real grass and mud never harmed anyone in the past!

To ensure proper maintenance and prevent microplastics from entering the environment, a new policy will be used to guide decision making for funding applications for new artificial grass pitches in East Suffolk. Read more: bit.ly/4hONm3c

A #ghostpond is a pond deliberately infilled in the past often to gain more farmland. Here is a resurrected ghost pond 3 years on! Surely the most successful form of ecological restoration known!!!

Are you here for the resurrection? My new album, One Assassination Under God - Chapter 1, will be released Nov 22. Pre-order available now.  mm.bfan.link/oaug-ch-1 “Sacrilegious” music video out now, directed by Bill Yukich. mm.bfan.link/sacrilegious

Some great views of the confiding Amur Stonechat at Trimley today, at times showing down to about 2-3 metres. A Suffolk tick (at time of writing this). Light was poor but not a breath of wind. Black Redstart, brambling also about. A couple of the best digi-bins efforts..

This solitary white-fronted goose on the Denes Oval late this morning seemed relaxed enough, despite the attempts of a magpie to tug at it's tail!

While I’m on the app, we enjoyed another mega Craig find this afternoon as he bumped into this very smart Eyebrowed Thrush at the Shooting Gallery!

A phenomenal day for Redwing, with a wonderful thrush arrival keeping us busy all day long. 20,000+ Redwing is the largest count since 1991, and being among 800+ Blackbird is just truly magical. Two Bluethroat, a Rosefinch & a Hawfinch also featured: fairislebirdobs.co.uk/latest_sightin…

The first winter Arctic tern did a few laps of Mutford lock basin dip feeding a couple of times at 14:55 before flying under the railway bridge towards the yacht club and lost to view. Made up for dipping out on this at noon!

It's that time of the year now to anticipate their non-arrival!

The Grozzas are coming! Pine Grosbeaks have arrived in Oslo and I reckon we are going to have a big movement on our hands this autumn. All the birds I had today were heading south west although one did stop briefly for a photo.

The UN in 2024; Useless and unfit for purpose, just like the man currently leading it.

Exactly 12 months ago I called for the head of the UN to resign and now he ‘scuttles’ off to Russia at Putin’s ‘beck and call’?! UN reform is Very Urgent @Telegraph telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/10/2…

A potentially bright naked eye comet is climbing into the evening sky. Beginning tonight look for Tsuchinshan-Atlas in west after sunset. It will be brightest bust most challenged by twilight early on and over two weeks gets fainter and higher in the sky. skyandtelescope.org/press-releases…

Please to see the comet whose name I cannot recall, currently on show in the west sky, much better and more visible than the last one! Hopefully it will get brighter over the next few evenings and the skies stay clear.
