Latest NASA global temperature data. Earth has never been hotter since Homo sapiens discovered agriculture in the early Holocene. Likely even since 120,000 years ago. Fossil coal, oil and gas emissions caused it. We need to stop making it worse. Yes, we can if we want to. 🧵

Horseshit. Lie. He tried to take away my press pass and had those who disagreed with him forcefully removed from his events.

Vance: You know something Donald Trump will never do? Donald Trump will never go out there and say that his fellow citizens should be censored or silenced for disagreeing with them.

I called families to tell them their beloved was dying. I read out messages from absent family members. I saw the British public behave with such *staggering* decency as they obeyed the rules to protect the vulnerable. Is my anger 'overblown'? She has absolutely no idea.

“I thought a lot of the stuff around Partygate… was overblown” Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch says Boris Johnson was a “great PM”. Well, well, well

As of yesterday, I have decided to resign from my role as a columnist for The Washington Post — a newspaper that I love. In a moment like this, everyone needs to make their own decisions. This is the reasonfor mine. 🧵

As a young teacher I once (foolishly) set a research project for a year class on the Holocaust, to see what they would come up with. Cue: 24 posters on 'why the Holocaust didn't happen,' I kid you not, and three exceptions. Because they went home, googled it, and got lost in the…

I think something that is not addressed or spoken about is that in the context of children 'building media literacy' that teachers need to start pre-curating what they are expecting children to look at. For example my son had a project on 'lemurs' in P5. Lovely little topic.…

I'm sick & tired of our national media pretending that Trump is a legitimate candidate for President & not the traitorous criminal that he is...We know who he is...About time the media gets on board with the truth & stops lying & does what is right for all...Not just a traitor...

Keir Starmer gives his Chief of Staff a pay rise… The Times leads with it. Boris Johnson tries to hire his girlfriend as his Chief of Staff… The Times speaks with Johnson’s team and then pulls the story. Pathetic.

The media in a frenzy about Sue Grays salary of £170k per year, for one of the most important jobs in the UK. What about the CEO of British Gas, who last year took home £8.2 million, whilst all our bills rocketed? Where's the outrage there?

Peter Oborne is right - the right wing media’s double standards are breathtaking.

Powerful Times leader. I can't remember any Times leaders making the same point about Boris Johnson's free holidays, free meals from donors etc. I can remember the Times suppressing Simon Walters' story about Johnson wanting to make Carrie Symonds his £100,000 pa chief of staff.

Probable Conservative Leader Kemi Badenoch still hasn't answered this one. Under oath Henry Staunton has repeated his claim that Kemi Badenoch ordered sub-postmasters compensation to be halted. Time to get Kemi Badenoch under oath, and if she lies prosecute her.

And don't get me started on the the Ofsted big-wigs muscling in on the bonuses racket. btw, I experienced lots of good, decent Ofsted inspectors in my career but there was some luck over which inspector or team you got.
