"I know many progressive and first-time voters face an excruciating dilemma this year, a choice between two unsatisfactory candidates," says Democracy Now!'s Juan Gonzalez. "But this is not the first time Americans have faced such terrible choices."

Ballots are important but whatever happens next, we need to be organized. Now's the time to join something. Join a labor, tenant or student union. Check out DSA @DemSocialists, @sunrisemvmt, @ClimateDefiance, @ThirdActOrg, @IndivisibleTeam, or my fave Debt Collective @StrikeDebt

This video gets at a lot of my thinking. At @thirdact we've worked without cease to elect @KamalaHarris, because we know we will have someone worth pressuring--just as we've done with Obama and Biden. If you're considering voting 3rd party I hope you'll take a look

We never vote for them. We always vote for us. This election and every election, #VoteLikeARadical   Feat: @_ashdashlee_ @nicktilsen @billfletcherjr @SarahSunshineM @homeandfreedom @LevinsMorales @rinkuwrites #Election2024

Precisely. Some claim things cannot get worse. They absolutely can. Look to any country where the prisons are bursting with political prisoners. There is no shame in voting against even worse. Fascists triumph when we lose our capacity to think strategically.

"As shocked and stunned as I was, there was no way I was going to let him say that to me, unchallenged." My response to the racism & incitement on Monday, to a CNN pro-Trump panelist telling me: “I hope your beeper doesn’t go off," because I said I supported Palestinian rights.

Seizure medication, wheelchairs, social security cards, urns of ashes, and work uniforms — just some of the belongings thrown away during the cruel, degrading, utterly counterproductive homeless sweeps taking place across the country. A gutting must-read: projects.propublica.org/homeless-encam…

The big idea of the Green New Deal is climate policy you can touch. Literally. The political theory is that that's how you make cutting carbon pollution something that ppl viscerally understand, care about, fight for. Otherwise... carbon goes up but the politics don't care.

Carbon emissions are growing FASTER now than they were before the pandemic. We are not on track.

Yesterday I tried to take my sign that said "There is no disability justice without a Free Palestine - this is the biggest cohort of child amputees in history" to the children's wing of the State Library Victoria, named after donors who support Netanyahu & Israel's genocide. 🧵
