Behind a paywall. Sadly can’t access but looks like a really good read.
Blood in the Garden is out today in paperback form, for anyone interested in a holiday gift for the basketball fan/literary buff in your life. I really continue to appreciate everyone's love and support for the book.
Donald Trump shares on Truth Social that he has been playing “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar “repeatedly” after elected President of the United States
Uncharacteristically, I'll say that Dems should stop beating up on themselves and firing volleys back and forth. (They can get back to that later.) American voters - as I've been warning for years - are changing, and becoming more like Trump. That's hard to counteract. /1
If 1.1% of voters (175,000) across the 3 blue wall states had chosen Harris over Trump, she would be President. I get that Trump won but this isn’t a “blowout” or a “landslide” and it’s certainly not a mandate. 1.1% across 3 states is all it was.
In 2020 I was one of 7 dems that won a district that Trump won, so I held a series of listening sessions with people who voted for Trump and voted for me to understand their actions. I reread the transcripts yesterday and much of it felt like it could have been said today. THREAD
Inflation has been an incumbent-killer everywhere. The U.S., it turns out, was not an exception.
Sunak out. Macron thumped. Kishida resigning. Trudeau walking dead. Albanese is just 2 years into his term and approval has already tanked. Inflation has been absolutely devastating to incumbents everywhere, making it all the more remarkable that the U.S. election is a toss-up.
No coincidence that most big food stocks are down today
RFK Jr tells MSNBC that he intends to clear out entire departments of the FDA
worth being honest about what happened: it wasn’t foreign policy or Kamala’s campaign. lots of people just really hate inflation and are scared of immigration at the same time, I bet lots of these voters will regret it when the economy crumbles from tariffs and mass deportation
The overall story, so far: Nothing here looks like a story of various campaign decisions or a VP choice or big set piece speeches. It's an electorate mad at the incumbent WH's record and expressing it pretty uniformly everywhere, blue and red states alike.
This video is incredible. Everyone should RETWEET it so the whole *world* sees it.
"I was Hillary Clinton's vice presidential running mate. At the time you said it was the most important election in American history. And that democracy was on the line. It's been less than eight years. What's my name?" #SNL #TimKaine
This is the craziest highlight I’ve ever seen
I fucking love Gen Z. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👇
The most powerful message to young men in the entire campaign
1/11 So the first 3 volumes of Smith's evidence against Trump are released. About 70% still sealed, but, pretty damning stuff, which is all either their own messages, or testimony from Republican staff under oath:
Voter: I am a Republican that’s no longer registered. Your inaction during your presidency was a little disturbing to me. What happened during January 6th and the fact that you waited so long to take action while your supporters were attacking the Capitol. Coronavirus, I thought…
This is my favorite video on the Internet and it's not even close
This moment between @PatMcAfeeShow and the Cal fans was electric ⚡😂
