Honestly XC is a true fan sicko experience. Having to sprint around a course to see some action? Count me in. Makes me feel athletic (as a former runner it’s all I’d have left in me.)

I think there’s a lot of misinformation on track scholarships. This is a good overview of how many there really are. Track isn’t football (85 scholarships) and most kids are on partials, even the All-Americans. There are also lots of walk-ons which isn’t a bad thing they are just
As good. Understand if you can’t get Athletic aid it doesn’t mean you’re not good enough. There simply isn’t enough to go around. So get good in the classroom, be a walk-on earn a scholarship and prove yourself. It’s a privilege to compete at any level.
