Distance in the Desert - Arizona's Winter Distance Track Series is back for year three. This season, we are adding a 4th meet to the schedule with the West Mile Showdown on Jan 18th and creating the first AZ Winter Championship Races at the finale on Feb 8th. More updates soon.
I'm excited to put on a new meet this year. AZ HS Open 5k Championship This will be a Track 5k scored as a cross-country race. Entries will be limited to the Top 25 AZ XC Teams registered, plus the Top 35 Individual Athletes registered. Max entries will be 210 (per gender).
To my HS Track Coaches. What is your least favorite thing about track season
Ok my little vent here where are all the athletes who did track in HS, college. The next generation of track coaches. So in AZ we are 4 weeks from track season and probably 50 to 100 coaches short WHY??? #coachingcrisis

Athletes: If you do everything your coach assigns this winter you'll have a great track season. You don't need extra workouts, secret training, or an outside strength coach. But you do need to be consistent. It's a simple recipe for success, but it won't be easy. Let's go!
To my track friends out there. Trying to figure out the replacement board for this takeoff system.. it is a 12 take off system but doesn't look like Gils. Somehow original installers installed without board can you help.
