Dear @StarbucksUK a deaf person asked a staff member in your Manchester store to repeat themselves and pointed their hearing aids. The staff member then asked how #deaf they were and said they sounded drunk (at 10am)! This is unacceptable. staff need deaf awareness training ASAP

Trainspotting parodies usually bore the shit out of me, but I quite like this one.
This is really heartbreaking - and worth a read. If our young people have all their cultural spaces eroded there won’t be a next generation of cultural workers to use the spaces for adults.
It’s important to add some context to this story, because it’s not all good news. This new venue is Platform, an arts centre created by and *for* young people 12 years ago with £4.5m of public money. It is a huge loss to local young people and companies like @company_three
