Had an absolute blast yesterday at playfest London. Tested a new title I'm working on as well as played some other great games throughout the day
21X by @naylorjames is absolutely bonkers in its ingenuity; it's Blackjack but with formulas, where N is the number of cards you have and X is a number of your choosing! My fave bit is they've invited notable mathematicians to invent a card for the game. Coming to KS soon!

I'm feeling very excited about this one from @MarcusduSautoy The mathematical underpinning of games is fascinating stuff... and I'm lucky enough to be able to see an advance copy shortly. I think this is one game designers, in particular, should not miss.

last weekend I went to Denmark with @Sautteen and, on top of a 2km sand dune which moves 18m north-east each year (which sounds like the beginning of a maths exam question), this happened:

I had fun coming up with a design for a card for this fantastic new algebraic take on blackjack. The new game 21x would be a good candidate for a sequel to my forthcoming book Around World in 80 Games @4thEstateBooks @BasicBooks
