How often it is that a young person’s pain (self-harm; eating problems) is a desperate attack, via the self, on a dysfunctional family, idea, school or wider system; a plea for systemic change. But we rarely see it like that - instead we pathologise them & treat *their* disorder.

Why does powerful Artificial Intelligence pose a risk that could make all of our lives much, much worse in the coming years? There are many good texts on question, but they are often long. 🧵I'm trying to summarize the fundamental problem in a brief Twitter thread.
Being in the office is a double-edged sword. Data: when our colleagues sit nearby, we get more feedback. That boosts learning and retention among junior people—but reduces productivity for senior people. We need time together and time apart. Hybrid is the best of both worlds.
"Consciously or unconsciously, leaders put in place structures & practices that make sense to them. These correspond to their way of dealing with the world & mean that an organisation cannot evolve beyond it's leadership's stage of development." That's why approaches to…
Your work does not define your worth. A career is what you do—it doesn’t have to reflect who you are. Making a job part of your identity is an option, not an obligation. Your impact in the world doesn’t depend on how you make a living. It derives from how you live your values.
