1/2 A forthcoming paper from Cornell researchers shows that to prevent blackouts under the CLCPA, NY will need up to 37 GW of firm generating capacity, nearly as much as NY's existing generating capacity. Wind and solar simply aren't reliable enough. ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2023arXiv2…

Let me translate, these projects are not fiscally suitable, states know it, and want the feds to make up for the cost. Regardless tax payers will be on the hook for projects that will increase their own energy costs. This is what leadership looks like for New England liberals

This letter to @POTUS from @GovKathyHochul @MassGovernor @GovMurphy @GovDanMcKee @GovNedLamont @GovWesMoore reinforces that we urgently need federal action to ensure that States can move forward now with offshore wind projects and their attendant benefits. subscriber.politicopro.com/article/eenews…

73% of electric generation being done by FF in NYS during this massive heat wave. Battery storage, wind, and solar will never be able to flex up to meet demand regardless of what your local activist or NYS politician tells you.

Ive been beating this drum since the CAC was having public meetings. I have yet to see any report from the CAC regarding affordability.....other than the health care savings after we all start riding bikes.....I didn't make that up....its in there.

Suburban and upstate Democrats are worried about the costs of cap-and-trade plan that will raise fuel costs subscriber.politicopro.com/article/2023/0…

Welcome to Syracuse @CuseMLAX

This is what happens when NYS let’s a Cornell Professor impose his agenda on what should have been a balanced council. The radical environmental utopia plays well for the Peoples Republic of Ithaca but the rest of the state cares about balancing climate & affordability.

✌️ out NYS!!! exactly what consumers and business will be doing once these costs are realized by everyone in the state. #fourvs62

The disfunction is incredible.

I don’t know man, with this kind of dysfunction I don’t think anything is sacred. Ha!!

As I've been saying... While I didn't predict this specific cost issue, there are more than any individual can spot. "It looks like the results are in: the climate plan costs too much as it’s currently structured, Hochul’s administration is warning." politico.com/newsletters/we…

Thank you to the NYS Propane Gas Association for the chance last evening, along with @senatormattera, to address your 2023 Spring Conference on the CLCPA, @GovKathyHochul’s energy mandates, and how the Albany Democrats are coming for your gas stove, furnaces and other appliances.

It is tough to get 50% of people to agree on anything, but 87% of New Yorkers are concerned about the plan to BAN heating with natural gas, propane, and oil. Thousands have signed✍️ our petition, you can join them! Click here: nysenate.gov/petitions/robe…

Wait, why wouldn’t all upstate communities sign up for this?Strip the land, erect miles of solar fields, push the power to the 4 boroughs only to pay more on your utility bill each month without any benefit? 🤔#followthemoney

Thank goodness for the diesel powered generator at the statehouse in Montpelier. It is hard at work keeping the lights on due to a prolonged power outage.

From Democrat William Magnarelli's (Syracuse) constituent survey. Forced electrification may not go down well when people contemplate the effect on their own lives.
