I don't believe in conspiracy theories, but if I did, here's one: Saudi Arabia is pushing oil toward $100, in the process inflating US long-term interest rates. Maybe it's shooting itself in the foot -- but higher yields are also killing the whole renewable energy sector.

This may be hard to believe….but the guy the other party put in the White House very well could be a corrupt miscreant….AND the guy your party put in the WH can ALSO be a corrupt miscreant. These are NOT mutually exclusive statements!

🤣🤣

Just Stop Oil activists get a taste of their own medicine. Undercover journalists posing as eco-activists disrupted a banquet held for the climate protesters releasing alarms attached to balloons in the banquet hall, situated in a church. 🎈🛢️ 🎥 @TalkTV

Sadly, it’s just the beginning….. Today's energy hikes just a taste of the cost to chase Albany's green dreams nypost.com/2023/06/28/tod… via @nypost

And this is a brutal statement by Shell CEO Wael Sawan, effectively erasing the legacy of his predecessor who made a big bet on shifting toward renewables: "We will invest in the models that work – those with the highest returns that play to our strengths" #OOTT $SHELL

Don’t worry Vermonters, the environmental elites in Montpelier DEFINITELY know how to spend that extra $1.00+/gallon better than you do. It’s for your own good!🤦‍♂️

Vermont rules will make oil, gas and diesel expensive or forbidden. EV cars will be delivered to VT, whether or not they can be sold. Destructive folly. Higher Home Heating Fuel Prices Are Just the Beginning. Next Up, Gas & Diesel. , by @rproperiii open.substack.com/pub/robertrope…

Everyone wants a cleaner energy future for the generations to come, but the approach must be taken with serious consideration of cost, safety, and reliability for residents. In other words, it must be done with common sense. nysun.com/article/battle… 🧵👇

THIS is what it sounds like to represent your constituents and stand up for New Yorkers against these policies that continue to drive up costs and make NY unaffordable. Thank you ⁦⁦@SenatorOMara⁩ !! youtu.be/2HM6f1cqkj8

Upstate NYers, you’re going to see higher bills and naturally blame the utility. Don’t. This is being driven by the climate industry and mandated by your elected officials pushing their extreme agenda. Higher energy costs are their GOAL, not a side effect!

Only the start of increasing bills for your constituents. This doesn’t even address the increases of cap and trade. Don’t take my word for it, see below, there are plenty of other articles: wgrz.com/article/money/…

New York’s plan for transforming its electricity generation will REDUCE reliability at extreme cost. The plan also depends on technologies that don’t exist at the scale needed utilitydive.com/news/new-york-… via @UtilityDive

Once again the focus of @Greenpeace zealots is not reducing emissions but rather erecting as many wind turbines and solar panels as possible. Shutting down enough zero carbon electricity to meet the current power needs of Nigeria and its 200 million people is a victory. This…

The last remaining German nuclear power stations finally shut down two days ago. Germany's nuclear phaseout has made the remarkable growth of renewables possible. There's work to do, but a 100% renewable energy system is within reach.

Germany is right now shutting down the Isar 2, Neckarwestheim 2 and Emsland nuclear power stations, the last three remaining in operation. From tonight, it will solely rely on renewables — and lots of coal and gas (plus nuclear imports from France). Energiewende stupidity.

CHART OF THE DAY: It looks like Good Friday (April 7th) marked the bottom of the European natural gas inventories: at ~55% is the highest ever level by the end of the heating season. Key for it was a warmer-than-normal weather, industrial demand destruction, and behavior change.

Thank you to the NYS Propane Gas Association for the chance last evening, along with @senatormattera, to address your 2023 Spring Conference on the CLCPA, @GovKathyHochul’s energy mandates, and how the Albany Democrats are coming for your gas stove, furnaces and other appliances.

Fascinating thread. I don’t think it’s reasonable to ban natural gas anytime soon. @pwrhungry

This is a deeply dishonest framing of what Biden did today. Before Biden’s Dept of Labor rule change, retirement fund managers could consider *only* investment returns. Now, Biden permits them to take into account “collateral benefits other than investment return” including…

I just vetoed my first bill. This bill would risk your retirement savings by making it illegal to consider risk factors MAGA House Republicans don't like. Your plan manager should be able to protect your hard-earned savings — whether Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene likes it or not.

Inflation and energy prices are already at record high levels. Albany’s energy mandates will soon send utility rates through the roof and force those who can afford it the least to bear the brunt of these new costs. Invest in renewables, but protect overburdened consumers.
