Re: Rogan, Young & Spotify: People don't seem to realize that Neil Young won; his goal was to raise awareness about covid misinfo w/an ultimatum. It worked perfectly, making headlines & getting people talking. Young doesn't need Spotify to pay his bills; this stunt was a success.

I'll forgive using the word "pills" for capsules, as it's so common, but this writer for Guardian mistakes TABLETS for capsules. Jesus Christ, is this a professional journalist? theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2…

OK, so you're alarmed by illiberal, regressive, anti-Enlightenment "social justice" wokeism and "Critical Theory" taking over our institutions. But you're thinking of voting for Trump? Seriously? Here's why you shouldn't. letter.wiki/liab/970

Hey @seanonolennon ; That Sorkin flick about the Chicago 7 reminded me of your parent's copy of Steal This Book. I ~assume~ it was stolen from you by your ex-girlfriend. The one signed "Your cover of Two Virgins inspired me to write this book." She gave it to Page Hamilton.

I have been away from Twitter for a while because of its intensifying nastiness. But I must share this essay by @sullydish, which lays out a vision of a liberal society, and explains how Twitter and current moral passions are pushing us away from it. nymag.com/intelligencer/…

So my Dad made good use of his time in lockdown and built a huge laughing Kookaburra.

My theory is that humans did all sorts of things that seem insane to us simply because they were starving. Perhaps they cooked something that seemed to be going "bad" as a way of making it more palatable.

Today I learned of the Rothko Chapel in Houston: "A typical question raised by visitors viewing the massive black canvases which adorn the walls of the chapel includes some variant of: "Where are the paintings?" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rothko_Ch…

Right-wing pastor Perry Stone delivered a sermon yesterday to a large crowd, promising there's "absolutely no way they will ever get this virus." Give it 30 seconds. It's worth it. I promise.

The great moral triumph of Protestantism was replacing one person pretending to know things he doesn't know with many people pretending to know things they don't know.

In Washington state, we know that voting by mail is the best way to ensure everyone has a safe, secure way to vote. It should be the right of every American across this country
