Trump & Vance believed unfounded rumors about pet eating from an anonymous source via a random Facebook post. When the President's Daily Brief--collecting the best analysis from the top intelligence services--contradicts a random social media post, what will they believe?
FYI: This election will be won—and lost—by candidates supported by billionaires who clearly don't "control everything."
Join us in wishing the incomparable Chris Difford a very happy birthday today! 🥳🎂 #squeeze #happybirdthday @chrisdifford
My research on ghost hunting methodologies is mentioned in an extended abstract for the ACM International Conference on Design of Communication titled "Haunting Evidence: Mapping Activity Systems in Paranormal Investigation Communities": dl.acm.org/doi/fullHtml/1…
Many celebs have endorsed Trump or Harris. But some viral memes have falsely claimed that stars like Beyonce and Simone Biles also donated millions to Harris. My new blog examines these false rumors--and who may be behind them. Check it out! centerforinquiry.org/blog/mystery-o…
I enjoyed talking to Mark Lynch (again) about ghosts and stuff for the WICN podcast: wicn.org/podcast/chris-…

I didn’t think I would like this episode but it was very informative about electric cars. Thanks @BrianDunning @BTRadford @CelestiaWard @SquaringStrange podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/epi…
As a skeptical researcher people constantly tell me "I know what I saw!" and about how reliable eyewitnesses are ("it's good enough for the courts!"). Yet in fact we find that eyewitnesses are often unreliable, mistaken, or even lying. Sometimes that results in people dying...
Fantastic article by @BTRadford - if you haven't already seen the video recreations by @KennyBiddle42 of the "poltergeist" activity you can find the link in this @SkeptInquirer article. They also are terrific. @Hulu is exploiting this story. skepticalinquirer.org/exclusive/demo…
It gets tiresome when I explain to people that sincere eyewitnesses can be (and often are) wrong, and I hear "Well, it's good enough in courtrooms." In fact, many innocent people are freed after being wrongly convicted BASED ON EYEWITNESS TESTIMONY. " wapo.st/3BpBzrf
Today I was thinking about what a symbol for the concept of "now" might be. I thought of a clock, as the only reason to look at a clock is to find out what time it is *now*. But if you include the hour and minute hand, you're indicating a specific time (not "now"). Alternatives?

This is fake. Eminem has NOT endorsed Harris for president. He *did* make the comment about Trump--in a 2017 interview with Vulture. com, but as of now no formal announcement. People should challenge ALL misinformation, whether you want it to be true or not.
If you believe that people in Ohio are eating pets, you're stupid. If you are calling in bomb threats because of those stupid rumors, you're stupid, unethical, *and* a criminal.
Hey ABQ folks! This Saturday from 1:30 to 3:30 I'll be giving a talk on my latest book, “America the Fearful: Media and the Marketing of National Panics" at Treasure House Books in Old Town. I'll be signing books and chatting, so stop in, support local bookstores, and say hi!
I'm skeptical of memes saying billionaires control everything. Money buys influence, but influence only goes so far. Plus billionaires often have contradicting priorities; billionaire Musk supports Trump, billionaire Swift supports Harris. One of them won't get his (or her) way.
I did not threaten to "panic block" Marik. Here's the end of the exchange. I simply have work to do (production meeting tomorrow), so I suggested he start a thread on Metabunk.
UAP pseudo-skeptic Mick West is threatening to panic-block me (via direct message) because I objectively and verifiably falsified his fraudulent disingenuousness. (Just like Dr. James McDonald shredded Menzel and Klass’ profoundly unscientific nonsense.) More to come/receipts.
