Please. As a bereaved parent watching some of these interviews, and hearing how reporters and anchors speak about the dead, grieving families, and survivors, I just cringe. It’s so insensitive at best—damaging to victims at worst.
Trauma-informed reporting should be required training in every newsroom and journalism program.

Grief and holidays… I am glad for motions to go through this year, because this is one where I wanted to keep moving. It’s okay to stop moving completely too. 💜

Check on your friends who were grieving a few years ago. They’re still grieving now. The pain didn’t go away. Most people have simply stopped seeing it.

I feel so broken missing Beans everyday. But I know that pain is my love for her and the pain is all I have left. It really hurts, but hurts is better than feeling nothing you know?
