Congrats #Borroloola @Indi_Kindi educators Amanda Johnson & Anika Rory on their Cert 3 Early Childhood Education. They're leading the #earlyyears sector with an on Country program that addresses complex social issues in remote Aboriginal communities. @LindaBurneyMP @JasonClareMP

“But whatever the plan, it’s unlikely to succeed unless it involves higher pay for childcare workers – paid for by the government, not parents.” Could I love ⁦@1RossGittins⁩ any more? smh.com.au/business/the-e…

We love #handpainting ❤️ It’s a great #sensory activity that encourages discovery & creativity. It also links back to traditional #Aboriginalrockart reflecting the layers of physical, spiritual and social meaning that belong to Country. #culture

Everyone should watch this amazing segment on why and how early learning matters. We're on the precipice of a complete revolution. Exciting times! #EYS2023 #Ozearlyed

PLUS: Plans for a complete revamp of early childhood education in Australia – what should it look like? @MarilynFleer joins the panel to discuss.

Early childhood educators need to be valued for their work & paid appropriately. A skilled & valued workforce will deliver better outcomes for our kids and communities for generations. We need to look at how families can balance work and care to benefit all. #EYS2023

It's great to see forward movement on issues the #Ozearlyed sector has campaigned for for years! Can't wait to see the outcome of the #EYS2023

Good early years policy is good economic policy - when we invest in people early in life, it delivers long-term dividends for them, our communities and our country. Thanks to @AmandaRishworth and Anne Aly's leadership for today's Early Years Summit: ministers.treasury.gov.au/ministers/jim-…

The Catholic Church did not want us to place ribbons in silence to rememeber the victims of priest abuse. On the day of the funeral rock up make lots of noise instead!! whistle noises vuvuzela noises pots and pan noises Pedophile enablers should not be celebrated in peace.

My favourite early childhood education podcast is back! Excited for a listen 😍

Hey ⁦@LeanneMGibbs3⁩ can we put the fact that ⁦@LiamMcNicholas⁩ forgot to turn his microphone on into his 2022 performance review?

Congratulations IEU members, @unionsaustralia, @sallymcmanus, Senator @DavidPocock and all union members in Australia on the passing of the Secure Jobs, Better Pay laws. These reforms are a welcome, progressive step for Australian workers. #auspol

Agreed. The sector is hemorrhaging some of the best and brightest to other professions. Any delay in wage support just compounds the problem.

We need an immediate policy response with an interim wage supplement to stabilise the workforce NOW while we work through the shape of longer term reforms like sector wide bargaining and changes to the funding model following the PC inquiry.

Hey @AmyThunig, haven't been able to find any info. Were Indigenous Groups consulted re: lowering the Aboriginal Flag after QEII passing? Any info much appreciated.

Very exciting to attend the launch for the Centre for Research in Early Childhood Education at Macquarie University. There's lots of amazing work to be done!

As usual Lisa hits the spot with this article. Universal access is the ideal but it's impossible until the workforce crisis is addressed #ozearlyed

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

People have just comprehensively voted for hope, climate action & a more equal country. The @Greens will fight to make this happen, but the Libs are now being led by someone who does this 👇
