You can be many things to many people and you can wear many different hats sometimes in quick succession but you can only be one person and being true to yourself is vital

Bonfire night means compliance inspections of Fireworks shops for our #FireSafety Teams. I was out last night and today took a break from the laundry to catch up with these 2 and get them a mid shift coffee. Also super proud that of the 6 Inspectors out today 4 are women.

Off to celebrate the unthinkable: me and my ex are finally rid of our #cladding ridden flat. 7 years after Grenfell, 6 years after potentially fatal failures in building safety were found, 2.5 years after breaking up, and ZERO amounts of progress in remedying the issue

❗ Never use a barbecue on your balcony. You also should never use chimineas or fire pits. Having an open fire on your balcony puts you, your neighbours and your building at risk. Watch to find out more 👇

Is it Time to stop calling it “domestic abuse” or “violence against women & girls”? It’s MALE VIOLENCE When we identify the perpetrator rather than just the victim, we have a chance of eliminating it because we focus on the cause & not only it’s effect

Another year on and still so many questions remain unanswered for those affected by #Grenfell. My thoughts are with the bereaved and survivors devastated by the loss of 72 people they loved and the loss of their homes and for some their community. #ForeverInOurHearts

🏙️ Over the past two days, we've been carrying out our high-rise days of action. Firefighters and protection and prevention officers have been visiting high-rise buildings in interim measures across Manchester to give assurance to residents and deliver key fire safety advice.

"Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh. There was a pause. "Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet. "No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do." "That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend. "What are you doing?" asked Pooh. "Nothing,…

This has nearly broken my heart this week. The smile on this beautiful young man with his whole life ahead of him was a smile to light up the world. My thoughts are with his family, friends and all who knew him.

Words don’t even begin to describe the pain we have all felt over the last few days. Daniel was one of the children in the youth group I lead, Jubilee Youth, part of Jubilee Church London. There’s no way to articulate the pain we are all feeling losing one of our own. Daniel is…

So proud of Richard and all of our #WaterTeam - they are absolutely fantastic. The Hydrant Mechanics are out every day checking & maintaining hydrants. Jane the Water Manager does a fabulous job of making sure any new developments plan for water & the team have what they need

Water has always been our best defence against fire, so in our series taking a look behind the scenes of our service let the lovely Richard talk you through the important work of our hydrants team. Think of the team every time you pass a yellow 'H' sign...! #GMFRS50 #TeamGMFRS

Fabulous Friday evening @HOME_mcr - incredibly powerful performance about the life of #NinaSimone, meal with my faves and coming out to the growing skyline and positive signs of remediation in some buildings- both scaffolding up and scaffolding down
