Love this. One of the reasons I am an SLP!

What a great example of linguistic creativity!

Congratulations @EmHarringtonSLP on your first publication and the clever way you've packaged responsive labeling and responsive #ToyTalk into a simple sequence for caregivers. #EI #SLPeeps #LateTalkers #DLD Emily's caregiver handout can be found here: hdl.handle.net/2142/113690

New article in #AJSLP with @PamelaAHadley! Caregivers learned the See and Say Sequence, which integrates responsive and language modeling strategies, in under 20 minutes. Excited about its clinical potential, particularly in addressing long EI waitlists! pubs.asha.org/doi/10.1044/20…

Just listened to this great podcast. Issues and ways to react when told about a microaggression are relevant to everyone. Thank you!

Do you have a child with #DevLangDis who is currently working with an SLP? We are piloting a parent training on DLD and would love your insights! Contact SAiL Literacy Lab doctoral fellow Kate Radville at kradville@mghihp.edu to learn more. Thank you!

Walkability is community: Yesterday after work, my dog & I walked down to our neighborhood’s town center. By happenstance, we met & chatted with 8 different ppl along the way, some were neighbors I had met before, others new. This does not happen in a parking lot or in a car!

So many decades of wonderful KU memories shared.

Always so much fun to see the KU community! ⁦@jannaoetting⁩ ⁦@lfinestack⁩ ⁦@tiffanyphogan⁩ ⁦@CattsHugh⁩ ⁦@melanie_schuele⁩ ⁦@PamelaAHadley

Some papers are fun to write; others cause you to humbly pause and marvel at the complexity of language variation and the profile of DLD across dialects. We have so much to learn to serve others well.
