One other, rather ironic, change in the new MHA. Police cells cannot be used as a place of safety, but it will still be okay to put people in solitary confinement in a hospital, with just a mattress on the floor, no window, no fresh air and sometimes no toilet. Food and medsโฆ
Section 135/136 MHA: - Police stations cannot *ever* be used as a Place of Safety under the MHA - So the 2017 Regulations and "inspector's authority" for use of a police station all disappears. 2/

Agree, too many C(E)TRs taking place in 2hours or less, not adhering to national guidance, chairs not believing in the process, just a tick box, using social workers as clinical advisors, recommendations not being followed, person and family not being supported to be involved

It's disappointing that the NHS consultation isn't accessible yet for people with a learning disability, with no easy read.
