Very nice paper in Science, showing that N-glycosylation can also function as a degradation signal, similar to Ubiq: science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…. Glad to see the authors used our #FragPipe/#MSFragger-Glyco “Glyco-N-LFQ” workflow for quantitative glycoproteomics data analysis.

Agreed! That's why I wrote ggpubfigs, a ggplot2 extension that *only colorblind-friendly color palettes. Easily make your figures colorblind-friendly with ggpubfigs! x.com/NKWhiteman/sta…

A reminder that your search committee chair, grant proposal reviewers, and manuscript reviewers might be among the 1/12 XY or 1/200 XX who can’t see what you think is obvious in your figures because they have a color vision deficiency. Adobe tools, many papers on the topic, etc.

How do you keep up with the newest papers in your field? @ResearcherApp is perfect for this, but with the announcement of their closure I'm looking for other options. @R_Discovery seems promising, but it doesn't sort by date and gives me a bunch of papers from 2-5 years ago. 😢

The number of Cybertrucks in Boston is silly

Absolutely devastated that @ResearcherApp is closing down!! 😱 Researcher fundamentally changed the way I engage with the scientific literature. Does anyone know any good alternatives that let you stay up-to-date with the literature using keywords and followed authors/journals??

We often have a bias toward non-hydrogen atoms, forgetting the central role that hydrogens play in molecular recognition. Biotin has 16 non-hydrogens and 15 hydrogens. It is biotin’s hydrogen atoms that are mostly responsible for its impressive binding affinity.

Excited to share our new paper in @rsc_chembio on improving resolution in fluorotryptophan protein NMR by expanding into the 13C dimension! We prepared & used a 13C-labelled F-Trp precursor to achieve unprecedented spectral resolution of a F-Trp-bearing protein by 2D 19F-13C NMR!
