literally once a week i see a tweet that asks why there isn’t a podcast about internet main characters or what happens after a modern fifteen minutes of fame moment. THERE IS! it’s called sixteenth minute and every week i interview and examine a fifteen minutes expat. listen 😀
For my chemistry friends, I'm at ACS if anyone wants to meet up or knows of stuff going on!
IT is often dicks even to people who are trying to make their lives easy. I get that there is antipathy because the average case is bullshit, but I've never had IT work with me on a problem even when I give them intelligent and detailed information
The reason IT support people are so bitter is that YOU (I mean YOU) cannot rationally describe the problem: You: The Internet is down IT: How do you know the Internet is down? You: I can't get email. IT: Is it possible that the email servers are down and the Internet is working…

#PeaceIsland is issuing an open call to #Mac users who want to see more Mac #games: We are trying to develop our #catgame for the #MacOS, but we are encountering issues that resist our 50+ years of #MacOS experience, and Apple refuses to help. PM us, and be a hero!
Great thing: my PDRAs keep getting jobs! So, I need a highly skilled synthetic inorganic PDRA for April 2024. They need to know Schlenk technique inside and out, and they need to have superior leadership skills and independence. If you are interested in #ALDep, even better.
Living in a walkable city with good transit has really changed how I think about society. It's really enjoyable to be able to walk/bike/take transit where you want to go More better bike lanes, better transit, changes to zoning wrt mandatory parking. Cities can be better :)
Chicago has become the largest US city to independently abolish the tipped wage, w alders voting 36-10 to deliver key plank of Mayor Brandon Johnson’s progressive agenda. Supporters say it’ll secure financial stability for service workers, critics say it will lead to cuts/$ hikes
This is truly too, too perfect.
Your friendly reminder that the Boring company was made to try and undercut rail development and protect T*sla
