Generally no parenting advice but I alternate taking my kids to bedtime friendly formal events (with the host’s okay) and it’s a wonderful thing.

in Delhi in the 90s my grandparents bought a green washing machine in order for my grandmother to no longer have to hand wash clothes but she never quite trusted it so she used to stand over it with the lid open and hand wash the clothes in there while the machine spinned

how on earth are people with kids managing to sneak in affairs? I could easily hide it from my husband but my children’s favorite pastime appears to be opening my phone and reading all my messages.
Mikey had a routine but still not fun hospital procedure today and I spent two hours nervously pacing around the waiting room only to have the nurse call me and say, “your husband is asking you to bring him coffee.”
