David Regan, @CeoConcern, at the Turkey/Syria border. Huge numbers of people on both sides have been affected by the #EarthquakeTurkeySyria. @concern is here and our emergency response is in full swing.

During our Gorta Mór, the Turkish nation sent 5 ships loaded with food for Irish people. Today, we are proud to reciprocate, as communities in #Turkey struggle to recover from this terrible #earthquake. Thanks to @Irish_Aid, @GOAL_Global and @UNmigration for making this happen.💚

The rescue effort here in Adiyaman is turning into a recovery mission, as hopes fade of finding survivors of the #earthquakeinturkey. Meanwhile the survivors, homeless and cold, await help. @Concern is here. Support our response: @concernwwus @ConcernNI @ConcernUK @ConcernKorea

Local people with relatives in Turkey and Syria fear for their loved ones after yesterday’s earthquake. Catherine Morrison reports:

Country director for @Concern has described the situation in the city of Sanliurfa Province in south eastern Turkey as "quite chaotic" as rescue efforts continue. "Thousands of people won't be able to go back to their homes so they will need medium to long term shelter."

Just leaving Haiti after an amazing visit to the @Concern team here. 2022 was a very tough year, but our teams stayed and delivered a cholera response, protection and support survivors of gender based violence and food and nutrition responses. Proud to see Concern at its best

This humanitarian hub in #Ukraine️ is supporting thousands of families who have been displaced by war and are now reliant on the generosity of others. Thanks to an amazing response from @Concern supporters, my colleagues are supplying the hub with food and other essentials.

Inside #Ukraine, millions of people are living in communities far from their own home. That's where @Concern is working.

Behind headlines from #Ukraine are so many human stories of suffering... and survival. I met Katya at a @Concern-supported humanitarian centre. Her home city is in the news today and it breaks her heart. She cried as she spoke, but says she knows she is "lucky" to have escaped.💔

"The needs are absolutely astronomical." Ros O'Sullivan, Head of Emergency Operations or aid agency @Concern discusses the crisis inside Ukraine, saying it will be months, if not years before Ukrainians can return to their former lives.

Deirdre Delaney Reposted

"An estimated 3.5M have left Ukraine, with an estimated 6.5M internally displaced. It's felt the IDP population inside Ukraine will rise to over 8M by the end of the month. That's how astronomical this conflict is," Concern's Ros O'Sullivan tells Oireachtas Joint Committee.
