“Wheelchair-bound” is only a thing if wheelchairs don’t help you get around. If wheelchairs impact your mobility positively, they’re literally freeing. It’s an absurd term.
Hospital employee: “How long have you been wheelchair-bound?” Me: “I’ve never considered myself wheelchair-bound. It’s such a limiting, restrictive term. I use a wheelchair.” Employee: “Sorry if I offended you, but it’s a common term.” Common terms are often ableist.

Shiny Happy People makes me think that homeschool communities need training on how to identify signs of child abuse… but as a whole, they will never take on the responsibility of mandatory reporting so what’s the point. Anyway we need more/better legislation to protect kids.
