It takes a monster to kill children. But to watch monsters kill children again and again and do nothing isn’t just insanity—it’s inhumanity.

Beautiful perspective

The hometown looking gorgeous.

There’s a lot to love about this.

This group of women went to elementary school together in Saskatchewan. Now they are all 70 years old and still in touch with each other even now they live in different provinces. They decided to travel the Yukon together and stopped at my cabin. YouTube: bit.ly/YU-KN

Humanity and game development demonstrated by a story about a dog.

I said goodbye today to River, who most of you know as Fallout 4’s Dogmeat. Heartbroken doesn't cover it, but I won’t eulogize her here. For twitter, I thought it'd be appropriate to look back at her impact on that game. (plus, writing about game dev hurts less than grieving)

Mr Jason Wilson offers a reminder to listen and encourage rather than condemn and dismiss. a hard task for any parent or leader.. something i struggle with all the time with my kids.

To My Sons On Social Media: The challenges you face are greater than that of my generation, so do not allow words of condemnation to influence you to give up. Keep fighting my sons, I am proud of you!

I love how intertwined work-life is for her: she applied marital advice to work too. “it helps sometimes to be a little deaf.”... when a thoughtless or unkind word is spoken, best tune out. Reacting in anger or annoyance will not advance one’s ability to persuade.”

This essay from RBG always makes me laugh, and tear up too. Here she is on work-life balance: "Each part of my life provided respite from the other and gave me a sense of proportion that classmates trained only on law studies lacked." nytimes.com/2016/10/02/opi…

this is unapologetically fascist and also coming from a man who is transparently an absolute physical coward.

"A system of justice will be the richer for diversity of background & experience.” On this day in 1993 Ruth Bader Ginsburg took her judicial oath as the 1st Jewish woman & the second woman justice ever appointed to the Supreme Court. Thank you RBG for fighting all these years.

Whether or not Donald Trump knows the difference between “herd mentality” and “herd immunity” is not what’s most important here. It’s that he’s made it clear that he’s willing to let millions of Americans die rather than take any meaningful action to address this pandemic.

Pres. Trump says COVID-19 will go away even without a vaccine in part because of ... “herd mentality.”
