This was Obama's first win. My friend @EllenCHerbert, who grew up in Arkansas, cried tears of joy. We all did. She so wanted to see Trump voted out. Would have worked hard to see him lose. She's no longer here, but I feel her with me. I hear her laugh. We did it, El. We did it!!

A story I love: In 1959, the Bronx High School of Science moved to a new building. Rather than pack up the library, the administrators had each student check out five books from the old building, then return them to the new one. Done.
