I'm working with @woodson_martin to buy things from a list (a.co/gCpBCvr) to support immigrants trying to come into the USA in Brownsville, TX. They come out of detention with nothing, and these small donations make a huge difference on their journey.
When modern configuration management came out, we didn't go around saying that we were replacing Sysadmins. We said that those engineers were going to level up their skills and not spend so much time on manual tasks. That's literally what AI is going to do.
Instead of promoting replacement of devs by AI, can we please focus on elevating and enhancing skills through the use of AI? There are plenty of jobs to do that can't be automated away by static code analysis enhanced AI, or printf enhanced AI.

LeBron James offered his remembrance of journalist Grant Wahl tonight in Philadelphia. Wahl, who died at the age of 48 while covering the World Cup in Qatar, wrote the first Sports Illustrated cover story on James - “The Chosen One” - when LeBron was still a teenager.
What devastating news. The loss of a brilliant journalist and wonderful person. An example and inspiration to so many. On behalf of the @theofficialfwa, sincere condolences. RIP.
