The United States has been leading the fight against climate change – and today I’m proud to announce two more investments that will continue this work while lowering energy costs for hardworking families.
Three years ago, I was proud to sign the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – the largest investment in our nation's infrastructure in a generation. On that day, we showed we can get big things done when we work together.
I know a thing or two about the importance of a smooth commute when it comes to showing up for your loved ones. So does Camille. Now, $45 billion from my infrastructure law will go toward improving commutes all across America.
Under our Administration, we have had the three strongest years of new business applications on record — and we are on track for a fourth.
I’m proud that the United States and Indonesia continue to deepen our partnership, as we have for 75 years.
I’ve always said that every new small business is an act of hope. As of today, Americans have filed more than 20 million new business applications since Vice President Harris and I took office. That’s 20 million acts of hope by the American people.
Millions of students and workers have more opportunities today than they did four years ago in an economy that’s growing from the middle out and bottom up. An economy where everyone has a fair shot, where we leave no one behind, and where we invest in all of America.
Today, Jill and I hosted the Classroom to Career Summit, 15 years after the first White House summit on community colleges. Education is Jill’s life’s work – and the steps we've taken to connect students to good-paying jobs is one of the most important efforts of my Presidency.
Today I met with President-elect Trump in the Oval Office. I look forward to leading a smooth transition and peaceful transfer of power. As I told the President-elect, my team is committed to doing everything we can to ensure the incoming administration has what they need.
Tune in as the First Lady and I deliver remarks at the Classroom to Career Summit. twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…
Today, I sat down with President Subianto of Indonesia to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations between our countries. We discussed continuing to strengthen our partnership, first by advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific with ASEAN at its center.
Today I had the pleasure of welcoming President Herzog of Israel back to the Oval Office. He's been a personal friend to me – and to our nation – for a long time. As I reminded him today, the United States' commitment to Israel is ironclad.
Last week, I spoke with U.S. service members responsible for recent successful operations against ISIS in Iraq and Syria. I thanked them for their heroic efforts to defeat ISIS and protect our nation, and conveyed my prayers for the recovery of those injured in these operations.
We have many obligations. But only one is truly sacred: To prepare all those we send into harm’s way and to care for them and their families when they return home – and when they don’t. Yesterday, we recommitted to this sacred vow.
Today was my last Veterans Day at Arlington as Commander-in-Chief. To our veterans and service members: It has been the greatest honor of my life to lead you, serve you, care for you, and defend you. You are the greatest fighting force in the history of the world.
Just as our veterans routinely put aside differences to work together – this is a moment for us to come together as a nation. To keep faith in each other. To keep protecting everything our fighting force has defended. And to keep striving to heal our nation’s wounds.
We're the only nation in the world built on the idea that we are all created equal. We haven’t always lived up to it. But we’ve never walked away from it. And today, as we honor those who've given everything to our nation, we must say clearly: We never will.

Today, we honor generations of America's veterans – patriots who have stood on the frontlines of freedom and kept the light of liberty shining bright around the world. May we all strive to be worthy of their sacrifices for us.
