The @TourofBritain 2023 is well underway and @richardmpalin and myself are doing daily tweets about the geology enroute. Follow @geology_tob to get local insight into Britain's fascinating and diverse geology as the riders pass through the sunny British countryside. ☀️😎🔨🚴

Hi everyone, hope you are all excited for stage 2 of the TOB! Along today’s 107 km stage from Wrexham in Wales, into Cheshire before heading back to Wrexham, the riders will pass through a sequence of Carboniferous, Permian and Triassic sedimentary rocks!
