As we enter the final week of school term (and the final week of primary school for a very special bunch) we are delighted to display the names of Rang a Sé, @GSCLcairde on our RRV - the classmates of a young patient, Cian Marren who sadly died at the age of six in 2017. 1/2
We'd a great crew down from the club doing the #Cork Marathon in memory of the late David O'Regan. We are raising money for the Eire Og Greystones GAA Club and for the @WicklowRR DONATE to the runners at gofund.me/a64d01c9
On a call with @AmbulanceNAS in Arklow recently. Stay tuned for more updates on WWRR activity and plans! #Wicklow #CriticalCare
Great interest at yesterday's Open Evening in Clonmel, with over 50 people attending to discuss joining NAS, the application process and see the station. From 5.30 - 8pm this evening @LoughlinstwnNAS will be open to the public. Come along and say hello!
In memory of our great friend David O'Regan who sadly passed away in 2022, 25 of his Eire Og Club mates and family will be taking part in the Cork City half/Marathon on 2 June. We are raising money for our club and for @WicklowRR DONATE at gofundme.com/f/cork-maratho…
A brilliant thread ⬇️ by @WicklowRR on the important role of Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine in supporting patients, @AmbulanceNAS & colleagues across the acute hospital setting, many volunteer doctors involved including our v own @edsvuh @David_Menzies @svuh 👏👏
What is #Pre-Hospital #CriticalCare? A short 🧵: Also referred to as Pre Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM), #PHEM is “that area of medical care required for seriously ill or injured patients before they reach hospital (on-scene) or during emergency transfer to hospital” 1/11
Greystones have proven the chain of survival works, not once - but twice! ❤️ Delighted to attend a First Responder appreciation evening held at Rise @ Cove this week and meet Valerie who suffered a cardiac arrest and was successfully resuscitated in the community☀️ ☎️👋🏻⚡️🚑🏥🏡
We were privileged to meet Valerie, a recent cardiac arrest survivor, along with her family, other responders and all those who make Greystones and Wicklow a safer place!
In recent weeks, the communities of Greystones have proven the chain of survival works, not once - but twice. We were delighted to attend a First Responder appreciation evening, held at Rise at the Cove yesterday. 1/3

A trailblazer and a friend to me and many others, particularly in Wicklow! Best wishes for the future Mac!
Today marks the last day of 44 years of service for Macartan (Mac) Hughes. One of the most important figures in Irish pre Hospital care over the last few decades. His influence will last long into the future. We wish Trish & himself all the best for the next phase of their lives
Happy 19th Birthday one of Ireland's longest standing CFR schemes, Dunlavin CFR. Situated in Co. Wicklow, this scheme saw the introduction of CFR in Ireland and continues to provide an excellent service to the community. Well done all and thank you for your dedicated service.
📊 Our Q1 statistics are in, and we can report that Wicklow Rapid Response has had one of our busiest periods ever! 🚑 👉 In the months of January, February and March, our volunteer doctor was tasked to a total of 55 incidents on behalf of the @AmbulanceNAS
Congratulations to Derek Scott on his retirement today after 35 years of service to the National Ambulance Service and a further 8 years with the HSE Eastern Health Board. A well deserved celebration is in order!
