Latest charts rolling out and still show rain for a lot of people on Monday with sleet and snow in Ulster. I think some people may be disappointed if they are expecting snow elsewhere but we shall see.

Friday evening update for the weekend ahead. More on next week later this evening.

A mix of sunny spells and light showers and up to 14c. Hard to believe by Tuesday it will be 10c cooler or more!

The latest ensembles show cold air lasting from Monday night through to next weekend which will be a big change from the mild first half of November. Snow risk for Monday is mainly for Ulster at present but more later.

A mild and damp to wet morning with a mix of light showers and some bright spells today. Latest charts this morning continue to show rain for most Monday with any sleet and snow in Northern areas but still uncertainty on the details this far out. Turning much colder next week.

The two main models move the low pressure system Monday in over Ireland which means rain for most but uncertainty continues. What is certain at present is turning cold next week and a chance of some wintry falls.

Thursday lunchtime update on latest for a cold week next week. Still a lot of uncertainty on the details of early next week with risk of rain/sleet/snow.

The ECMWF ensembles show the uncertainty around Monday if you see the spread in the lines. Lots of uncertainty so expect your weather apps and sites to chop and change for a while.

A much milder morning with patchy drizzle and mist but not much rain. Weather models just updating show an increased risk of low system next Monday which could bring cold rain for most but possibly some sleet and snow in Northern areas. Details however are very uncertain yet.…

Interesting weather charts for next week with big differences in the details on the main two models. This video shows the airmass and you can see the colder air moving down but the GFS model brings lows with warmer air and rain/sleet/snow as ECM stays colder but dryer.
