Two officers were suspended (merely suspended!) for assaulting and seriously injuring a 75-year-old man, and 57 officers resigned in *solidarity* with them. Disgraceful. There’s a toxic culture inside many police departments. End qualified immunity and clean up these departments!

#BREAKING: I’m told the entire @BPDAlerts Emergency Response Team has resigned from the team, a total of 57 officers, as a show of support for the officers who are suspended without pay after shoving Martin Gugino, 75. They are still employed, but no longer on ERT. @news4buffalo

They want peaceful protest, but aint too worried about peaceful policing. They’ll lecture you about “fighting violence with violence” but that’s literally their idea of “good policing” .

Overwhelming force, arrests, and domination of peaceful protestors in our nation's capital IS the problem. (Also, who thanks themselves?!)

D.C. had no problems last night. Many arrests. Great job done by all. Overwhelming force. Domination. Likewise, Minneapolis was great (thank you President Trump!).

Rioting and looting—that’s selfish, destructive, criminal, contemptible. But a president who assaults peaceful protesters, who threatens military force on American streets, who instigates and escalates—that’s something far more dangerous. That too must be condemned unequivocally.

Rioters aren’t accountable. You can’t call up their union. They’re not under anyone's control. People using protest as cover for chaos are a terribly hard problem to solve. But the police are supposed to be accountable. Police brutality is a problem we should be able to solve.

every moment of this insane. atlanta imposed a 9 pm curfew, and at 9:30 cops swarmed this car, bashed the windows, stabbed the tires and tased the black people. all behind a car of white people violating the same curfew, smiling and waving at the camera

We are living in wicked times

please watch. please listen closely. if anyone has any information on this man / a link to his go fund me please let me know. this is absolutely not okay. we will not be silenced.

I've seen too many videos today of press being pepper sprayed, tear gassed, or shot with rubber bullets. They followed every instruction and the letter of the law, but this still happened. You can't blame "rioters". This is police brutality, on display for all to see.

Police just raided the gas station we were sheltering at. After shouting press multiple times and raising my press card in the air, I was thrown to the ground. Then another cop came up and peppered sprayed me in the face while I was being held down.

Violence will not bring justice, and silence will not bring peace. Speak out. Take action. The callous murder of George Floyd symbolizes the cold indifference of too many legislators, police and prosecutors, judges and juries. We have denied justice. We have prevented peace.

Justice > Order

This is the same guy that thinks that Twitter including a fact check next to his tweet violates HIS right to free speech. But when it comes to peaceful protestors exercising their right to free speech, "vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons" are fine. See a difference?

....have been greeted with the most vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons, I have ever seen. That’s when people would have been really badly hurt, at least. Many Secret Service agents just waiting for action. “We put the young ones on the front line, sir, they love it, and....

RT if this image makes you sick. This is what an internet without #NetNeutrality could look like. Can't believe this is actually a debate again.
