Parker Solar Probe enters Perihelion or closest approach for the 13th time today. Being so close to the Sun the downlink is literally too hot to handle with huge amounts of noise preventing communication. Contact will resume in a couple of days starting of with a simple tone.

Replace helium valve on first stage. Fluid leaks in the swings arms. Faulty emergency alarms in tower. Faulty oxygen pump inlet in 3rd stage. Replace oxygen regulator in second stage. Leaks in the umbilicals. Heat loss in S/C hydrogen tank. Just some of the myriad of issues 1/2

SLS/Artemis 1: The core stage hydrogen tank is now full; still waiting for clarification on when the SLS might be ready for takeoff in its 2-hour window given the 55-minute delay in the start of fueling and time spent troubleshooting the apparent hydrogen leak

Thank you all for following my SLS/Artemis I photos this year. Having spent so much time photographing the vehicle — from land, air, and sea — I’m so proud of what I have captured so far. Can’t believe launch is tomorrow! See all of my Artemis I photos → johnkrausphotos.com/Galleries/Laun…
