JOCO TURNOUT — The Auditor's Office's 3 p.m. turnout report showed more than 26,000 Election Day voters thus far, and when combined with the 45,405 early ballots cast, the county is already nearing 80% turnout.

.@thedailyiowan has journalists in three swing states and on the ground in Iowa. DITV is doing seven hours of live coverage starting at 8 p.m. The future of the industry runs through Iowa, and it's in good hands.

I’m here in Georgia for @TheDailyIowan today. Currently outside a precinct in Fairburn, Georgia just outside Atlanta. Saturday turns for updates throughout the day.

Happy Election Day! Last month, I visited Athens in Southeast Ohio to report on the town’s voting mascot, Pumpkin the cat, who lives at the Board of Elections. Give this adorable story a listen: @Ideastream ideastream.org/2024-11-05/vot…

[5:00 PM] Heading out to the polls tomorrow? Here is a look at expected hourly conditions, with the gusty winds being the primary impact. However, record or near-record high temps are also expected, with rain holding off until after sunset.

Please keep this in mind Tuesday...

All results won’t be known on election night, and that’s normal. State laws about receiving, processing and tabulating mail ballots, and close margins, play a role. If it takes some states longer to finish counting, it is not a sign of wrongdoing. politifact.com/article/2024/o…

There is a verdict in the Adam Coy trial. We expect it to be read around 12:45 p.m. when all parties have gathered in the courtroom. The jury has deliberated about 11 hours over three days before reaching this decision. Coy faces three charges.
