Why should the government go to court to attempt to stop the probe into Maina’s reinstatement? Don’t they want to know the truth? That action was very ill advised in my opinion. It gives of the impression that the Federal Government has something to hide in this Maina affair.
The sad situation in Benue State shows some fundamental faults in our security system. There is a clear failure of intelligence gathering, analysis and response time. Our security agencies must be overhauled in terms of equipment, specialization, funding, training and staffing.
