Over 60% of family caregivers are women & many of them are juggling full-time jobs while providing care. During #NationalFamilyCaregiversMonth, my @DemWomenCaucus colleagues & I are fighting for fair pay, mental health support, & workplace flexibility for these dedicated women.

Racist text messages targeting African Americans, including kids and young adults, are vile and appalling. This hate has no place in our country. We will not let these extremist voices intimidate and silence our communities.

Tomorrow is the 86th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the Night of the Broken Glass. Yesterday, there was a pogrom against Jews in Amsterdam. We must condemn this hate and double down in the fight against antisemitism and bigotry.

My thoughts are with Rep.@GerryConnolly and his family as he fights this recent cancer diagnosis. His strength and optimism are an inspiration to all of us.

A note to my constituents:

Despite setbacks, heartbreak, challenges, and crisis we have always remained steadfast in our commitment to fighting for a better world for women and girls, and our commitment to each other. This time is no different. We will never give up.

It's Election Day. If you did not cast your ballot during early voting, you can do so today to make your voice heard. The polls in New York are open until 9 p.m. Go to nycvotes.org to find your voting location, ballot details and other information.

Assisting #veterans has always been a top priority of mine. Proud to have secured $300,000 to update and renovate the #ForestHills American Legion Continental Post #1424. The money will help Post #1424 do an even better job severing area veterans and the community. #Queens

Thrilled to present $1.6 million to @NaFFAA_NY so the group can purchase a community center in #Woodside. These funds I obtained make a major federal investment in our #Filipino American community, ensuring a physical space & valuable resources for Filipino Americans in #Queens.

Project 2025 promises to eliminate access to some emergency contraception medications. This means that 2,780,000 women across NYS would lose guaranteed access to free emergency contraception. Reproductive rights are on the ballot this week. nytimes.com/2024/10/24/opi…

The expanded Child Tax Credit was a lifeline for millions of families, helping parents afford basic needs & lifting children out of poverty. The GOP let it expire. We must restore this credit, so no family struggles for food, clothing, & health care. nytimes.com/interactive/20…
