For a while now, students at Far Rockaway High School and the Beach Channel Campus have dealt with unreliable MTA bus service, making them late for school. That's why we sat down with the MTA, school faculty and students yesterday in Rockaway. Because we're all about solutions.

Flushing has been the most dangerous district for pedestrians in the last ten years, and the second-most dangerous district for all modes. Join us at the @queensbotanicl this Sunday for #WDoR2024 to remember those lost to traffic crashes this year, and to call for change.

It's an honor to celebrate some of Queens' very own heroes at last night's Celebration of Veterans! Thank you to the honorees for your service, to our cosponsors, and all our attendees for coming together to recognize our service members' work for our freedom.

What I’m hearing privately from a few key GOP senators: yes, they’d prefer to not have a messy fight over Gaetz. Not their favorite. But they also don’t have a lot of energy for pushing back. Trump runs the show, they say. If Gaetz can reassure them, they’re open to backing him.

INBOX: New satellite command for the 109th Precinct in College Point. CB 7 had lobbied for another precinct in the confines of the 109 when voting to OK the Willets Pt. phase 2 plan, which includes the NYCFC stadium and 1.4k units of housing. This looks to be the compromise.

A lot has changed in our city since 1989. Thank you to the @nycibo for having me at today’s conference — reflecting on 35 years since the overhaul of the NYC Charter and if city government needs to evolve going forward. Spoiler alert: It should always evolve with the times.

Trump’s Cabinet was looking relatively normal. Then came Matt Gaetz. ow.ly/omQF105OPo6

No matter your political leanings, we know we're entering a period of real uncertainty and fear for many of our communities. But the QGA is here to make sure none of our neighbors feel alone, unseen or disrespected. Stay tuned for how you can join the next QGA cohort in 2025.

It's a beautiful but bittersweet day as we celebrate the completed redesign of Queens Boulevard with @NYC_DOT, because those who lost their lives on this street, like Asif Rahman, should still be here. But thanks to the advocacy of their families, their deaths were not in vain.

We’re LIVE! Say goodbye to the so-called ‘Boulevard of Death.’ We’ve completed a transformation of Queens Boulevard that has dramatically reduced injuries and fatalities. x.com/i/broadcasts/1…
