Today, Jill and I hosted the Classroom to Career Summit, 15 years after the first White House summit on community colleges. Education is Jill’s life’s work – and the steps we've taken to connect students to good-paying jobs is one of the most important efforts of my Presidency.

Today, @POTUS and @FLOTUS welcomed nearly 200 education and workforce leaders to the White House for the Biden-Harris Administration’s “Classroom to Career” Summit.

Today, @POTUS met with President-elect Trump for approximately 2 hours in the Oval Office. It was a substantive meeting and exchange of views. They discussed important national security and domestic policy issues facing the nation and the world.

.@POTUS: Investing in America, that’s what we have done together by reminding ourselves of who we are. We are the United States of America.

.@POTUS: Today, I’m proud to announce that the number of women in apprenticeships is three times the number in the last decade.

.@POTUS: We have committed more than 80 billion to strengthening our workforce, that includes supporting community college programs and work force hubs. It’s good for students and workers— it grows the economy for everyone.

.@POTUS: We have created 16 million brand new jobs since I took office — the most in any single presidential term.

At President Biden’s invitation, President Biden and President-elect Trump will meet in the Oval Office on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Additional details to follow.

To our incredible staff, supporters, Cabinet members, and people who’ve been hanging out with me for the last four years – thank you. I know it’s a difficult time. I hear you. I see you. But don’t forget all that we’ve accomplished.

Setbacks are unavoidable, but giving up is unforgivable.

.@POTUS: I will do my duty as President. I will fulfill my oath. I will honor the Constitution. On January 20th, we will have a peaceful transfer of power in America.

The President and Vice President accept the choice the country has made -- because as President Biden has said many times: you can’t love your country only when you win. And you can’t love your neighbor – only when you agree.

.@POTUS: I hope we can restore the respect for all of our election workers. We should thank them for staffing voting sites, counting the votes, and protecting the integrity of our elections. Many of them are volunteers who do it out of love for our country.

.@POTUS: As I’ve said many times, you can’t love your country only when you win. And you can’t love your neighbor only when you agree. Something I hope we can do - no matter who you voted for - is see each other not as adversaries but as fellow Americans.

The lowest unemployment in 50 years, a record 19 million new business applications, and incomes rising faster than prices. Make no mistake: we have more to do to lower costs and expand opportunities but @POTUS is fighting to grow the middle class. cnn.com/2024/10/30/eco…

Yesterday, we celebrated one year since the first Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity Leaders’ Summit. @POTUS and @VP are strengthening bottom-up and middle-out economic growth to enhance regional competitiveness in the Western Hemisphere. whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/…

We must stand for an America not of extremism and fury, but of decency and grace.

.@POTUS: I came to Philadelphia today to announce major progress we've made on implementing the Butch Lewis Act. Today, the @USDOL released a report which shows that since we passed this law, we have already protected the pensions of over 1.2 million union workers and retirees.
